Setting Up the Ultimate Survival Server Setup

Setting Up the Server on Your Own Host:

  1. Download the Server Files: Obtain the "Ultimate Survival Setup" server files from the provided link.

  2. Extract the Files: Extract the contents of the downloaded folder to your local computer.

  3. Upload to Your Server: Using an FTP client or your hosting provider's file manager, upload the extracted server files to your server's directory.

  4. Configure Server Properties: Open the server.properties file using a text editor and adjust the settings according to your preferences. This file allows customization of various server aspects such as the server name, game mode, difficulty, etc.

  5. Start the Server: Execute the server executable or script provided in the server files to start the server.

  6. Test Connection: Confirm that your server is running correctly by connecting to it using the Minecraft client.

  7. No Plugin Installation Required: Since the plugins folder is already included with pre-configured plugins, there's no need to install additional plugins (except for TAB, and Citizens plugins)

  8. Worlds Setup: Customize or replace the provided world folders (pvp, spawn, world) with your own world files if desired. The worlds are essential for the server setup and should not be skipped.

Setting Up the Server on Aternos:

  1. Create an Aternos Account: Sign up for an account on Aternos if you haven't already done so.

  2. Start a New Server: Log in to your Aternos account and click on "Create a Server". Select the Minecraft version 1.20.4.

  3. Upload the World: In the "World" section of the server dashboard, upload the world files (pvp, spawn, world) from the "Ultimate Survival Setup" folder.

  4. Installing Plugins: Since aternos doesn't allow to upload custom plugins or plugins folder itself, you may need to download all the plugins listed in Plugins List and upload the pre-configured plugin's folder to plugins directory.

  5. Configure Server Properties: Navigate to the "Settings" tab and customize the server settings to your preferences.

  6. Start the Server: Click on the "Start" button to launch your server. Aternos will handle the server startup process.

  7. Join the Server: Once the server is running, join it by clicking on the "Join" button in the server dashboard or by connecting using the server address provided by Aternos in the Minecraft client.

  8. Troubleshooting: For any issues during setup or server usage, refer to Aternos' support resources or community forums for assistance.
